A great bargain! What great service! We understand that patience and kindness are appreciated, especially for senior citizens. Our dispatcher and our drivers are exceptional people who take the extra time to make you feel comfortable. Seniors have one less worry with Senior Citizen Transit. Criteria for Rider-ship: Who is eligible? Senior Citizens who are residents of the City of Muskegon. Application for pass number must be completed prior to receiving service. Appointments for rides can only be scheduled one day in advance. Fee: $ 1.50 a ride. Hours of operation: 8:00 - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday (no holidays). We think senior citizens are important, and we show it. The City of
Muskegon provides an economical door to door transportation service which allows seniors
to take care of their personal business and remain independent. Senior Citizens can get
where they want to go without the expense of a taxi and without the limitations of a bus
system. You, the senior, may schedule a ride the day before your appointment through the
Department of Public Works by calling 724-4150. When you are ready to come home, just call
again and a driver will be dispatched by radio to pick you up. The charge is $ 1.50 a ride
each way.
